A quick note about Facebook...
From time to time I get friend requests from students on Facebook. I'm not usually too precious about having only FB friends that I see regularly, or only people that I will keep in touch with on FB. It's a great medium for having a broad social network, and keeping in touch with a lot of people to some degree.
However, I have a pretty simple policy: no students as Facebook friends. Please don't be offended when I don't add you, I won't and I do the same for all of my school-aged students.
For my students in Wollongong, I highly recommend adding Wollongong Jazz and liking Wollongong Conservatorium of Music on FB, to keep up to date with concerts.
